My journey into safari and beach travel began with a lifelong dream of visiting Africa. As a solo traveler, I researched destinations best suited for female travelers, and Kenya and Tanzania consistently stood out for their wildlife, welcoming culture, and well-established beach experiences. I first traveled to Tanzania, exploring the Serengeti before relaxing along the beaches of Nungwi in Zanzibar and visiting Stone Town and Prison Island. Inspired by the perfect blend of safari adventure and coastal beauty, I later explored Kenya’s Maasai Mara, the beaches of Diani and sites such as Hell's Gate, Lake Naivasha and For Jesus. These experiences sparked a deep appreciation for East Africa and inspired me to create Plains & Palms Safari so others can experience the same unforgettable combination of wildlife, culture, and beach escapes - while working with a travel specialist with first-hand experience and specialization in these two countries.
